I'd use AI as an amplifier of your best work, not a replacement for your judgment. Start by looking at where your day gets eaten by manual or repetitive tasks — admin, drafting, inbox triage, routine support — and ask: can AI handle a first pass so I can focus on higher-value work?
Then get clear on the use case. Don't just use AI because it's available; decide what problem it should solve, what good output looks like, and where you still need a human in the loop. That matters for quality, ethics, and trust.
I'd also be careful not to outsource your critical thinking. The real advantage now is pairing AI with the things it can't take from you: communication, emotional intelligence, tone, and your own judgment.
